Q: Who is sweatconnected?
A: sweatconnected was founded by former co-workers and longtime friends, Danielle, Wendy and Kara. When the pandemic first started and everyone was confined to their homes, Danielle quickly brought her classes online and saw how the need for fitness and community was more important than ever. Wendy soon joined in to teach and voilà – sweatconnected was born! Soon after Kara joined in to bring sweatconnected back to in-person on the UWS.

Q: Can I take a first class free?
A: Yes! First class is free for everyone, both in studio and livestream. Use the code WELCOME at checkout on a single class. We can’t wait to see you there!

Q: Will I be able to do the classes if I’m a beginner?
A: YES! We promise you there is something for everyone at sweatconnected! Whether you are new to group fitness or a longtime participant, we’re here for you.

Q: Do I need to make an account?
A: Yes – it’s easy and quick! Make your account here.

Q: How do I book a class?
A: Once you’ve made an account, you’ll need to purchase a class or package to join into a class. We have many options ranging from a single class, all the way to monthly memberships.

Q: How far in advance can I book a class?
A: We know some of you like to plan ahead so we’ve opened up our bookings for two-weeks out.

Q: What’s the cancellation deadline?
A: You can cancel your class up to 12 hours prior to the start of the class.

Q: Can I buy a gift card?
A: Yes! Head here. What a nice friend you are!

Q: Do you offer corporate discounts or group bookings?
A: Yes! Email us for details!

Q: Can I organize a sweaty celebration class?
A: 100%! Please email us here and we’ll set you up!

Q: Do you offer charity classes?
A: We do! Please email us here so we can help you organize the event.

Q: I am under 18. What is your policy for taking class?
A: If you are 16 years of age or under, we require a parent or guardian to attend class with you. If you are 17 or 18, we’ll ask for a parental or guardian waiver.

Q: How can I apply to teach or work with sweatconnected?

Q: Where is the studio?
A: The studio is located inside the Marlene Meyerson JCC at 334 Amsterdam Avenue between 75th and 76th streets. Please take the elevator directly up to 3M!

Q: Do you have water?
A: Bring your water bottle with you, and we have a water cooler with filtered water ready and available for your use. We also have stainless steel water bottles for purchase.

Q: Do I need shoes?
A: No! You are welcome to bring your own if you’d like, but we will provide complimentary shoes for you at the studio.

Q: What is the cancellation deadline?

Q: How early should I arrive?
A: Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of your class time.

Q: Can I switch from an in studio class to a livestream class?
A: Yes. If you cancel your existing in studio class reservation prior to the 12-hour cancellation window, you can handle on your own. If you want to to switch from in studio to livestream after the 12 hour cancellation window, please email us and we’ll book you in. We cannot, however, refund your in studio credit which will go toward the livestream class instead.

Q: What kind of bikes are at the studio and do they have metrics?
A: We have Schwinn Carbon Blue bikes at our studio, and they do have metrics. The console shows power (watts), RPM, resistance metrics and more. If you have a Garmin heart rate strap, our bikes will connect to them as well.

Q: Do you have showers?
A: Yes! Located on the 5th floor inside our fully equipped locker rooms.

Q: Do you have towels?
A: Of course! We will provide towels for you.

Q: Are there lockers?
A: Absolutely! Lockers are located on the 5th floor inside the locker rooms. Please bring a lock with you.

Q: Do you have sweat bags?
A: We are avoiding providing single use plastic, so we will not have sweat bags at the studio. We encourage you to bring your own reusable bag for your sweaty stuff.

Q: What if I miss a class?
A: We’ll miss you but no worries! We’ll send you the class as soon as it’s done for you to take 48-hours post class.

Q: What if I want to take class but can’t make the time?
A: Go ahead and book the class and then email us and we’ll make sure you receive it.

Q: Can I switch from a livestream class to an in studio class?
A: If you want to switch from a livestream class to an in studio class, you can easily do that by cancelling your livestream class prior to the 12 hour cancellation window, then book an in studio class. If you are within the 12 hour cancellation window, book your in studio bike and shoot us an email.  We will credit you for your livestream class.

Q: Do I have to keep my video on during class?
A: Nope! This is your time and we want you to be at home with us so do whatever feels best.

Q: What’s the best way to set up my space for class?
We suggest that you set up the device you’re viewing class on nearby so that you can see the video easily. iPads can clip onto your bike, computers can be on a stand or stool next to the bike, and phones can often fit near water holders. We are happy to help you figure out the best at-home set-up for you, so email us with what you’re working with and we’ll guide you through!

Q: For the RIDE classes, what kind of bike do I need?
A: Any bike will do!

Q: What is Sunday Service Ride?
A: Sunday Service is the 930am on Sunday with Danielle. It was the first class on the schedule, and a reminder of where we started.
